"My brows have always been thin and it used to take me forever to get them just right. Microshading didn't hurt and my brows look fabulous!"
- Em J
Microshading is a semi-permanent makeup technique designed to enhance and define your eyebrows. It involves the application of tiny, precise dots of pigment to create a natural, filled-in brow appearance. Here's what you need to know:
β Looks natural: Microshading gave me the most natural-looking eyebrows I've ever had!
β Great for all skin types: For all skin types, microshading is a game-changer in achieving perfect brows.
β Lasts longer: The longevity of microshading is impressive β no need for constant touch-ups!
β Less invasive: It's less invasive than other methods, making it a comfortable choice.
β Less pain & bleeding: With microshading, I experienced minimal pain and no bleeding. So worth it!
What is Microshading?
Microshading, which is also called powder or ombre brows, is a way to do micropigmentation. This is like a special kind of tattoo for cosmetics. It helps your eyebrows look fuller, more defined and nature.
Microshading VS Microblading
Microshading is done by using pigment and a tattoo machine to create pixels on the upper layers of the skin.
Microblading uses a hand- tool that creates hair like cuts into the skin. Overtime the repeated incisions into the same spot can cause trauma and create scar tissue.
How long does microshading last?
On average for 2-3 years. Results vary based on lifestyle, skin type, preference, etc.
What should I expect?
After microshading, your eyebrows might be a little red because of skin irritation. This goes away in a few hours. The next day, your brows will seem darker as they start to heal. They will take 10 to 14 days to heal completely (you can learn more about this below). The real color will show once the healing process is complete.
Does microshading hurt?
When we draw the outline, you might feel a little pain like 1 to 3 out of 10, and it takes 3 minutes. After that, we use special numbing gel to make you comfortable. We put the gel on many times to keep you from feeling anything.
What is the healing time and what does it look like?
It takes 10 to 14 days for your brows to heal. While they heal, they will change a bit. They will look darker the next day and there could be some scabs and flakes. Then, they will start to look better and the color will get normal.
How do I know the shape? How do I know the color?
These are all valid questions and concerns that you should have!!! We'll help you with that in our special session called Custom Symmetry & Color Analysis. We'll talk about the best shape and color that will look great on you. You don't have to figure it out alone!
When do I get a touch up?
Permanent makeup (PMU) is a 2-step procedure. A first touchup 6-8 weeks after the initial session is recommended, but not required.
What is the aftercare?
The key to beautiful healed results is aftercare. We will provide you with a complimentary aftercare kit prescribed for your skin to help you heal your brows.
I have previous work done, can you do them?
We do handle corrections, just let us know ahead of time.
